Recently, my wife was taking her daily tour through Pinterest which is a website illustrating various craft ideas and other important information.  Many of the posts featured brief captions of thought that represent the political mood of today’s America.  As she rehearsed some of these reflections, it occurred to me that they demonstrated the very reasons why Donald Trump is president.  Some of these deliberations are given authorship while many others are anonymous.  Because of the varied distractions of the Christmas season, I shall take the well-traveled road of Easy Street and pass some of these profundities on to our loyal readers.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

“To anger a Conservative, lie to him.  To anger a Liberal, tell him the truth”  --Theodore Roosevelt.  “America was founded by people who believed that God was their rock of safety” --Ronald Reagan.  “Let me make a short, opening, blanket comment.  There are no good guns.  There are no bad guns.  Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing.  Any gun in the hands of a decent person is no threat to anybody—except bad people”  --Charleton Heston.   “My parents spanked me as a child.  As a result, I now suffer from a psychological condition known as ‘a respect for others.’”

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who would pervert the Constitution” –Abraham Lincoln.   “I could end the deficit in five minutes.  You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election” –Warren E. Buffet.   “I think a man with a helmet defending our country should make more money than a man with a helmet defending a football.”  “Sneaking into a country doesn’t make you an immigrant any more than breaking into a house makes you part of the family.”

“Our tax system penalizes those who are producing wealth in order to subsidize those who are only consuming it” –Thomas Sowell.  “Looting:  when free food, housing, phones, healthcare and education aren’t enough.”  “Legal gun owners have over 200 million guns and 12 trillion rounds of ammo ---seriously, people…if we were a problem, you’d know it.”   “I have overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war…I will never watch another NFL game” –Vin Scully (Amen).  “Society has gotten to the point where everybody has a right, but nobody has a responsibility.”   “I’m for giving Muslims the same rights here that they give to Christians in their home countries.”

“Hey, Snowflake…in the real world you don’t get a participation trophy; not everybody is a winner; no one owes you anything; screaming doesn’t make you right; sometimes you actually lose; crying doesn’t solve problems; nothing is free in this world; people are going to say things that you don’t like, and you are not special!”

“We need to establish a new law; anyone caught rioting and looting, who is on welfare, will forfeit their benefits for life.  Instead, we’ll redirect that money to the businesses that suffered a loss.”   “Not taking refugees and closing our borders doesn’t mean we’re mean.  I lock my doors every night.  I don’t lock them because I hate the people outside.  I lock them because I love the people inside.”   “Only in America are legal citizens considered racists and Nazis, but illegal citizens are considered dreamers.”   “Progressivism is a true mental disorder.”

“Bibles aren’t allowed in schools anymore but are encouraged in prison.  If kids were allowed to read it in school, they may not end up in prison.”   “A sign in a park reads: ‘Please do not feed the birds.  Feeding creates a dependent population that is a potential health hazard and makes a costly mess.’  We don’t enable it in nature; we shouldn’t enable it in civilization.”   “I believe the best social program is a job” –Ronald Reagan.   “The news is not about news anymore.  It’s about protecting some people, destroying others and shoving a socialist agenda down the collective throats of America” –Charlie Daniels.

“The people applauding Bruce Jenner for being himself are the same people who condemned Tim Tebow and told him to keep his beliefs to himself.”  “We are never defeated unless we give up on God” –Ronald Reagan.   “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible” –George Washington.   “Why do bad things happen to good people?  That only happened once and He volunteered” –R.C. Sproul, Jr.   “There is something comforting about a billion stars held steady by a God Who knows what He is doing.”   “My faith rests not in what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me” –Charles Spurgeon.   “Worship is no longer worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ within us”  --A.W. Tozer.

“The reason why most people don’t read the Bible is not because it contradicts itself, but it contradicts man.”   “If ever there was a time this country needed the intervention of God, it is now” ---Billy Graham.   “Don’t say God has been silent when your Bible has been closed.”

These snippets of wisdom are but a few of thousands presently floating around.  They reflect a current disposition the Left has rejected.  Consequently, you can thank or blame Liberals for the election of Donald Trump.  The choice is yours!
